Albert d. Andrews is a fine art oil painter.  al has been drawing since high school.  He is a retired GE engineer, and this is a second career for him.  His painting career was initiated when his wife gave him a painting course for his birthday, approximately twenty years ago.  Later he took many courses from Art Academy (Carin Hebenstreit0, which really launched his art career.  al paints oil paintings of landscapes, people, houses, animals, flowers and etc.  Al has no restrictions when he paints.  his painting composition is related to beauty of nature, happiness in the world or in other words he paints positive presentations.  he paints from photograph, still life and also does plein air paintings.
 

Al's oil paintings are selected after very careful consideration.  If he is attracted to it, he will paint it.  Early oil paintings were from his farm life, which occurred in Georgia.  He has a farm background and is proud of it.  His grandparents believed in working hard to achieve the greatest harvest installed strong work habits in him.  His paintings reflect this philosophy because they are detail paintings.

Al resides in North Avondale.  The family has been there a number of years and enjoys the multicultural/diverse environment.  On 12/31/2000, al retired from the General Electric Co. and opened up a Studio/Gallery in the Essex Art Studios building in Walnut Hills.

Interns of activities, al is active in NANA, EFUN, EGMEA, Art Consortium, the Cincinnati Art Club, Tax Consultant for the Elderly (IRS TCE) and the Essex Art Studios.  Al enjoys walking for health and has participated in the Walk America Drive, Spring Grove Walk, Polar Bear walk, 9th Thanksgiving Day race and the flying Pig Marathon.
